I have lived a while

I have experienced so much

I have struggled all I could

to find happiness

now I’m sitting here by myself

with my doubt

wondering if it was right

all I did

but I know

I did my best to live

the way I thought was right

and I know if I did wrong

it was because I fought

for the freedom to be myself

I was young

I fought

for ideals for justice

for dreams and hopes

but most of all

for love

for sunrise and sunset

and the dance of the flowers

for the twinkling in our eyes

for the play in our hearts
